Some Things I Have Been Thinking About... "Every hour has sixty jeweled minutes..."

"Time is what we all have, now, that which we never need to merely find enough of, but rather the gift we are given to make something of. Finding time’s impossible. We’ll have to be intentional and get down to just making time, something out of it all invisible. Every hour has sixty jeweled minutes no matter who you are. Or how long you have.

Not a temple, a mount, a tablet, were first deemed holy — but time. Right at creation, God blessed not a place or a thing, but a day and made it holy, a whole string of moments. Time is always the most consecrated."

Grandpa and Natalie's visit

We just returned from a wonderful four-day visit with Eric and Chelsea and Addison.  Grandpa had a great time meeting Addison and holding her, rocking her, and feeding her!  He definitely likes this "Grandpa" gig!  Auntie Natalie had a great time getting acquainted with Addison too.   I was very excited, as well, to get to see Addison for the second time- a Grandma's dream come true!  I think we all have taken to our new titles:  Grandma, Grandpa, and Auntie!  It was very easy for Addison to steal our hearts!

We babysat several times and Eric and Chelsea were able to get away alone for a workout, coffee, errands, and a movie.  Then Natalie babysat one night so the four of us could go out to dinner- which was very nice.

Saturday afternoon we went on a walk around the neighborhood and got a spectacular view of Mt. Rainier.  Addison went along bundled up in her stroller.

Also, I was able to deliver the Beatrix Potter quilt to Chelsea in person.  Yay I got it finished before Addison was out of the crib!

Saturday night we went to church with Eric and Chelsea and they had arranged to have Addison dedicated at that service.  What a special time to get to be there for that!  It's such a joy for us as Grandparents and family to get to participate in this moment.  Two of Addison's Aunties were there too:  Auntie Natalie and Auntie Jenny.

Of course no visit would be complete without a little "Dodger Blue" time with Grandpa and Auntie!  Just like all of our kids,  Addison loved sleeping on Chris.

Here are a few more pictures from our weekend - don't worry, I didn't post them all!
(Even though we did have fun with the camera and the new Kodak Touch video!)

We loved getting to see our little family in WA, and are busy planning the next trip! (Eric and Chelsea, you knew that, right?)
